Here’s how to use Google Lens in the Google Photos mobile app.

  1. Open the Google Photos app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Select the photo you want to use Google Lens on.
  3. Look for the Google Lens icon at the bottom of the screen – the icon has three rounded corners and a dot in place of the fourth corner.
  4. Tap the Google Lens icon to open a new menu that displays options like Search, Shopping, and Translate. Choose the option that you want to access, and Google Lens will start working its magic.

Google Lens is a popular tool that can recognize and analyze images. Although it was previously only available on mobile devices, it is now available on the desktop version of Google Photos. However, its use is limited to transcribing and translating text in images.

Here’s how to use Google Lens in the desktop version of Google Photos:

  1. Log in to your Google Photos account.
  2. Select the image you want to use Google Lens on.
  3. Look for a bubble with the Google Lens icon and the words “Copy text from image” at the top of the image. The transcribed text will appear in a separate menu next to your image.

With Google Lens now available in desktop version of Google Photos, it will be easier for users to transcribe and translate text in images using their computers.

How to Hide People and Dates from Google Photos Memories

Google Photos has a feature called Memories that shows you photos and videos from your past, based on certain events, places, and people. However, what if you don’t want to see certain people or places in your memories? Thankfully, Google lets you hide these photos, thanks to its facial recognition software.

Here’s how to hide specific people and places on your mobile device:

  1. Open the Google Photos app.
  2. Tap your profile in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Google Photo settings.
  4. Tap Memories.

From here, you can choose to Hide people & pets or Hide dates. You can select as many faces to hide as you want, and choosing dates will hide any photos within those dates from appearing in your memories.

You can also hide specific people and dates on the desktop version of Google Photos:

  1. Log in to your Google Photos account.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the arrow next to Memories.

You’ll see the same options to Hide people & pets and Hide dates, which work the same way as the mobile app versions. With these features, you can keep your memories organized and only see the photos and videos you want to see.
